Shabbatot and Yom Tov
Shabbat: Every Shabbat in Yeshiva is special- dancing down to the Kotel for Kabbalat Shabbat, being uplifted by a Tish with a Rebbi, spirited zemirot in the dining room, Kiddush at the home of a Kollel member-Shabbat is an integral part of the Yeshiva experience. Two out of every three Shabbatot are called “Shabbat Yeshiva”. While students may stay or leave for any Shabbat, we recommend that they remain in Yeshiva for these Shabbatot . There are also off-campus Shabbatonim throughout the year. When there is an off Shabbat, the Yeshiva encourages students to take advantage of the time to travel the country and visit families in other communities in Israel.
Chagim: Yamim Noraim in Yeshiva are life-changing, with Tefillot like you have never experienced before, and learning with the Rabbeim. During Sukkot the Yeshiva is not in session, but the dormitory remains open for Talmidim, and the Yeshiva builds two spacious sukkot where Talmidim eat and sleep. We recommend that boys stay in the Rova for Yom Tov, to take advantage of the unique environment. We can also make arrangements for those who decide to stay or those who prefer to spend Yom Tov in other parts of the country.
